Spaghetti Dinner

Hungry diners of all ages gathered at the Hayden Lodge, 3 New School Dr., North Brookfield, on Saturday January 31st for a scrumptious spaghetti dinner to benefit the North Brookfield chapter of Hearts for Heat.

Over 140 guests enjoyed spaghetti with meatballs and sausage, bread and butter, beverages, and dessert prepared and served by members of the Hayden Lodge.

Hearts for Heat is an organization founded in 2005 by Cindy Shea of Princeton to assist local residents in need of fuel assistance. In the past year, new chapters have been established in Leicester, Spencer, and North Brookfield. Sue Lewandowski, North Brookfield Chapter President, praised the Masons for their involvement in the Hearts for Heat fundraising drive, “Hearts for Heat raised over $1,000 through the spaghetti supper and we are so grateful for all the work done by the members of the Hayden Lodge to make the event a success.” The evening also featured a 50/50 raffle, a raffle for 150 gallons of fuel oil donated by Crowley Fuel, and a raffle for a $100 gift certificate from Cormier Jewelers of Spencer. Lewandowski noted that the winners of both the 50/50 raffle and the fuel oil generously donated their winnings to Hearts for Heat.
